Prime Minister Imran Khan visit Russia on Wednesday at the invitation of Russia’s President Vladimir Putin. He is the first Pakistani Prime Minister who went to Russia in 23 years. The Deputy Russian Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov received the PM at the airport along with other high-level officials including Federal Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Planning & Development Minister Asad Umar, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry, and warmly welcomed with a guard of honor.
During the meeting, the two leaders exchanged their thoughts on major regional issues and energy cooperation. Also, a multi-billion-dollar gas pipeline project was discussed. Moreover, they also talked about International affairs, thoughts on Islamophobia, and the situation in Afghanistan.
“I am not a believer in military conflicts. I believe the civilized societies resolve the difference through dialogues and countries that rely on military conflicts have not studied history properly,”
PM Imran Khan is hopeful for the ongoing conflict between Russia-Ukraine to get better as military conflict has never been a solution to any problem. He expressed his thoughts during a TV Interview in Russia,
“All eyes are now on the meeting between Prime Minister Imran Khan and Russian President Vladimir Putin,”
The Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that PM Imran Khan’s visit to Moscow hold significant importance during the hard times.
